4a Reflecting on Teaching

  • Accuracy. I plan to keep a reflection journal during the school year. I will ask myself questions so that I am able to teach my students better. I will keep reflections so that I can change ways that I am teaching so that my students comprehend better.

  • Use in Future Teaching. I will look back at past reflection questions and my answers so that I able to implement those changes in my current classroom.

4b Maintaining Accurate Records

  • Student completion of assignments. I plan to be on top of my organization so that I know if my students completed their work. I will stay organized so that if need be, I can pull out past homework/tests without any trouble.

  • Student progress in learning. I will keep a record of students grades so that I can see where they may be struggling. I may do end of the week quizzes, to see if they retained the information taught to them the past week.

  • Non-instructional records. I will be keeping track of video and photo permission slips, allergy lists, IEP, and many other things that need to be kept and organized. I hope to have students keep some records by sorting papers and by grading some of their own work.

4c Communicating with Families

  • Information about the instructional program. I will keep parents updated on what the students are doing in the classroom. I will send home information regarding what the students are learning or doing.

  • Information about individual students. I will send home student progress reports and I will have a system of grading that parents can check when they want to.

  • This is a research infographic. It is a article about creating digital artifacts to use in your classroom. It is a fun way to learn more about an article whether you are making a research infographic or just reading one. I used Canva to create the infographic to the right. It is a easy site to use and a good way to further your education as an educator.

  •  It relates to Danielson domain 4, component 4e which is titled "Growing and Developing Professionally." We are serving the profession by furthering our knowledge which can be passed on to others. We are also utilizing our resources to make learning fun for other educators or even for students.

  •  I am learning more about the educational world and continuing my education. I will hopefully be doing more research infographics during my college years and I hope to find a way to implement them in my future classroom.

 4f Showing Professionalism

  • Integrity and ethical conduct. Teachers must act with integrity and honesty. I will be honest with my employers, colleagues, and students.

  • Service to Students. Teachers are supposed to put their students first. My students will be my priority and their education will be as well.

  • Advocacy. Teachers support their students best interests, even in the face of traditional practice or beliefs. This ties in to Service to Students. My students are my priority, first and foremost.

  • Decision Making. I will make changes to my lessons to accommodate students needs. I will also take whatever measures possible to ensure that their learning is prioritized.

  • Compliance with school and district regulations. I will adhere to the rules, policies, and procedures implemented by the school and the school district.
