Description
Jamboard was originally developed for businesses and brainstorming by Google. Teachers found it and wanted to use it, but it was too pricey. This version that we use was created free for teachers. It is an awesome and easy way to create an interactive slideshow. You as the teacher can easily create the slideshow with any type of content you need to teach.
ISTE Standards
This tech tools fits in with many ISTE standards but the one i felt it fit the most is 2.5 standards for educators. 2.5 is all about educators designing learner driven activities. Teachers can use technology to create and personalize learning experiences that promote independent learning. Educators also must explore instructional design to create innovative digital learning environments that engage students and support learning.
Danielson Framework
This ties in to Domain 1 component 1d. 1d talks all about utilizing resources for classroom use and finding resources to extend our knowledge of content and pedagogy. By using outside resources, we are expanding our knowledge which in turn, will expand the knowledge of our students.
My Future Use
I am so excited to use Jamboard for my future classroom. I will be using it to create fun and interactive slideshows to engage my students and create a good way for them to desire to learn. It is so easy to use and I hope to be able to teach my future colleagues how to use it as well.
