ISTE Standards

4C's

The use of resources, or in this case, Quizzizz, relates to the ISTE Standards for Students in 1.3. 1.3 is titled Knowledge Constructor. Students curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

Description of Quizzizz

The 4Cs fit in in multiple different ways when using Quizzizz for a group project or group assessment. It forces the students to think critically and quickly, they collaborate to get a certain score or achieve a goal, and they must communicate with others to figure out the correct answer.

My Future Use

This tech tool is a fun way to assess your students in a way called formative assessment. It is to test their knowledge, but not for a grade. Quizzizz lets you create fun, engaging quizzes for your students to complete. You can customize questions or borrow them from other quizzes. You can print out your quiz along with an answer sheet! it also gives you the option to record yourself asking the questions and stating the possible answers

This fits in to Danielson domain 1d; Demonstrating Knowledge of Resources. As teachers, we should always look for new and interesting ways to engage our students as well as teaching them effectively. Students are also able to access Quizzizz after school and continue learning at home.

I will use this tool to assess my students in a way that they will enjoy as well. I am very excited to use Quizzizz in my classroom someday. I will hopefully use it frequently along with other quizzing tools such as Blooket, Kahoot, and Quizalize. I want my students to be excited to use these sites, which is a win-win situation. I can effectively quiz them and they are having fun.
